Thomas Müller is a German professional footballer, known for his remarkable goal-scoring ability and his versatility on the field. He is regarded as a talented all-rounder who can play as an attacking midfielder, a center striker, and a winger. He is appreciated for his technique, excellent dribbling skills, and precise passing ability. He is known for his admirable positioning. Born and raised in West Germany, he started playing football at a very young age. At 10, he joined the local âBundesligaâ team âBayern Munichâ and advanced through their youth system. Müller was born on September 13, 1989, in Weilheim in Oberbayern, West Germany, to Klaudia and Gerhard. He grew up in Pähl, a village near his birthplace. He has a younger brother, Simon.
In 2000, he joined the local âBundesligaâ team âBayern Munich.â He trained as part of the youth system of the club. He began his youth career with âTSV Pähl.â
In 2007, he was part of the âBayern Munichâ youth team that finished as the runner-up in the âUnder-19 Bundesliga.â In August 2008, he made his full debut for âBayern Munich,â as a substitute in a âBundesligaâ match against âHamburger SV.â He joined the German national team in 2010.
Müller first represented his country in 2004, as part of the âUnder-16â team of Germany. In November 2007, he was included in the German national âUnder-19â team to play against England. He was part of the German national âUnder-21â team in 2009 and made his debut against Turkey in a friendly match, which his team lost. In 2009, Louis van Gaal was appointed as the new manager of âBayern Munich and proved to be a great mentor for Müller. In the 2012â"2013 season, he scored 23 goals to help âBayern Munichâ win a historic treble: the league title, the cup, and the âChampions League.â In the beginning of the 2012â"2013 season, he helped the club score their eighth successive win by defeating âFortuna Düsseldorf.â He also helped his club score a 1â"0 win over âLille.â His performance in the match against âBorussia Dortmundâ helped âBayern Munichâ win the 2012 âDFL- Supercup.â
He then signed a two-year contract extension with âBayern Munich.â After the 2013â"2014 season, Müller renewed his contract with âBayern Munichâ and rejected an offer from âManchester United.â In the 2016â"2017 season, his performance helped his team win the 2016 âDFL-Supercupâ against âBorussia Dortmund.â

Müller is Roman Catholic. He was engaged to his long-time girlfriend Lisa Trede for two years and married her in December 2009. She works on a farm and is a semi-professional equestrian.
He works for the charity âYoungWings,â which helps young children who have suffered trauma or bereavement.
